Microsoft and Sony have recently slashed the prices of their gaming systems and now Nintendo has done the same with its popular Wii console. Nintendo is lowering the price of the Wii by $50 to $199.99. “Wii has reached more video game players than any game system before because it attracts everyone—both men and women, and people of all ages,” said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America’s executive vice president of Sales & Marketing.
The price drop of the console comes just in time for Nintendo’s much anticipated new releases, Wii Fit Plus available October 4th and New Super Mario Bros. Wii in stores November 14th.
