Anyone interested in a political appointment in President Barack Obama’s administration can now apply online, through the White House Web site.
“We’re looking to fill several thousand politically appointed positions in the executive branch,” the statement says. “We’re already interviewing for many of the upper level positions, but will be reviewing applications and making decisions on appointments over the next few months.”
The positions are temporary, not permanent, with appointees serving “at the pleasure of the president,” the statement said.
Applying online is the quickest and most accurate way to submit your information. If you are unable to complete the application through this website, a paper application is also permissible and can be accessed by clicking on the following link: Paper Application (PDF, 400 KB).
