First lady Michelle Obama is wearing a black, sleeveless dress and white pearls in her official portrait, which was unveiled Friday by the White House.
The first lady’s photo was taken earlier this month by White House photographer Joyce N. Boghosian in the Blue Room of the White House.
The official portraits of President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden were taken in January and made available for purchase from the Government Printing Office earlier this month. Their official portraits can be purchased online, but a quick check Friday showed the Web site’s ordering system seemed to be on the fritz.
A representative from the GPO was not sure if or when the first lady’s portrait would be available for sale online.
