Washington Redskins running back Mike Sellers says he sorry for tossing the American flag on the ground in a spontaneous moment of pregame hype Friday night. The meaty fullback, himself the product of an Army family, said he meant no disrespect as he was getting revved up to face the New England Patriots. He was in “the heat of the moment” when he blasted through the tunnel, carried the flag to midfield and flung it to the ground before joining his teammates in a huddle.
